As a freelance translator, she draws on her skills in language, technology, and research as well as her experience as the communications manager of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Rachel specializes in Spanish to English translation for businesses and NGOs in the fields of marketing, communications, international development, and humanitarian aid. She translates a variety of documents, including websites, brochures, press releases, reports, surveys, academic papers, contracts, and certificates.
In addition to professional translation, she helps entrepreneurs around the world by providing pro-bono translations for Kiva (www.kiva.org), a nonprofit microlending organization. She also teaches an online course in Spanish to English Translation at UCSD Extension, contributing to the professional development and training of the next generation of translators.
